Mages drawing from Lux manipulate illumination, coherent beams, blinding flashes, and ionizing radiation. The subplane deals strictly with massless energy carriers, preventing the conjuration of solid matter, the generation of physical mass, or the transmutation of elements. Lux magic can only illuminate, excite, or burn existing matter.
