📖Gobi

A group of Vir races made up from the races that have the Go chromosome in them.

Races

The group is not closed in the same way as kor, sord or drake. The exact form of a gobi depends on the second chromosome in the pair.

The basic gobi is the Goblin, usually produced by a GoGo pair.

Common Features

As a general group they have many common features, aside from being humanoid-like: having 2 arms and 2 legs. Supposedly they get them from the Go race chromosome.

Faces

Most gobis have sharp teeth, wide mouths, large ears and alert eyes. The exact shape of the face can change greatly depending on the second chromosome.

Bodies

Their bodies are usually wiry, coarse or compact. They tend to mature quickly and are often built for short bursts of violence, labor or survival.

Go Dominance

The Go chromosome has the highest phenotypic influence of the known race chromosomes. Because of this, the gobi base form usually remains visible even when the second chromosome comes from another race.

Adaptive Expression

The second chromosome can still shape the body. A gobi with an I chromosome may be more alert or psyche-sensitive, one with a Sh chromosome more aggressive and physically powerful, one with a G chromosome sturdier and more enduring, and one with a D chromosome scaled or cold-blooded.

Engineered Template

Gobi are usually treated as an artificial lineage rather than a naturally stable race group. Their base template is tied to hidden blueprints and flesh engineer methods.

Pack Behavior

Gobi are commonly described as pack-oriented, aggressive and short-lived in their social structures. They rarely build lasting civilizations and more often form war-bands, nests or temporary camps.
