850AC-1300AC

The epoch that started after the Tarosian Kingdom's stabilization after the Arial Tribal Unification.

After successful campaign at 836AC Kayros proved himself as a capable leader. The fame of the victory in the war gave him the biggest influence around the Central Arial.

At 850AC Kayros proposed creation of Tarosian Kingdom with capital at the Arkcity's predecessor where the Varros clan had direct ownership over the land and with himself as a high order leader. His argument was the same as the reason for the Arial Tribal Unification: Arial needs unity to flourish. So he offered them to become his vassals, leading Arial to the bright future.

The closest tribes agreed pledging their loyalty without questioning, already seeing Kayros as the leader Arial needs. The conquered tribes, exhausted of war and not able to resist the appealing offer of free lands could not reject.

So at the 850AC Kayros was officially accepted as the highest lord of the freshly created Tarosian Kingdom starting the rise of it.

Free Lands

The most rebellious tribes left during the Arial Outskirts Repopulation leaving many lands unowned and unmanaged. The conquered tribal leaders still were not happy about Kayros. To smooth up relationships Kayros decided to split part of the lands between them, of course not forgetting about the most loyal ones, giving them the biggest pieces of it.

Royal Guard

At 889AC Kayros formed security forces loyal directly to the crown - Tarosian Royal Guard, that consisted only of shakor following the Rightful Path.

Standardized Currency

The formation of the kingdom brought up new issues including the supply the Crown needed so much to hold control. As the main currency were chosen relatively rare metals that were widely mined around the Arkcity: copper, silver, gold, platinum and started to produce coins (weight 5g for any type, so 200 coins make a 1kg).

At 917AC the Arialian Central Bank was formed at first only for purpose of producing the currency.

At 921AC Kayros set up a basic tax system that went directly to the royal treasury from its subjects including the citizens of his lands and vassals and accepted only the coins at first. Obviously, not paying tax would be punished very harshly, so people had to get it somehow and the easiest way was to sell their wares for the coins just to pay the taxes with them. That leaded to circulation of the currency and making it more and more valuable and used.

In the same time he promoted intertribal trade by building better roads, making the kingdom more centralized, uniting it even more.

New ruler

At 941AC Kayros dies, leaving the throne to his older son - Auriel.

Artifact Collection Program

At 942AC right after he took the throne Auriel started the artifact collection program, buying all the Deus related things at high price. In the same time for hiding those artifacts he pushed the laws that do not allow common people to have them and banned trading, exchanging and any other ways the artifacts could leave the grasp of the Crown.

This highly centralized ownership of Mana Catalysts and other artifacts. Still many head families of the tribes stored the artifacts, some were catalogued by the government, the other just have not told about them keeping it in a secrecy.

Ruler naming

At 959AC the word "kayros" was written in the law as name of current ruler of the Tarosian Kingdom by Auriel, honoring all what his father did.

Secret Chancery

At Auriel 1045AC after assasination attempt formed the Tarosian Secret Chancery from the most loyal and capable members of the Tarosian Royal Guard and his court mages. No one except the closest to the kayros and himself knew about existence of the formation.

Death of Auriel

At 1052AC Auriel dies by natural causes. His older son Darius was crowned as the next kayros.

Tarosian Royal Magic Academy

Darius was known as one of the most capable mages in the Tarosian Kingdom. No wonder he continued researching Mana Catalysts, Deus artifacts and magic in general.

To enhance the knowledge and find more ways to use them at 1060AC he founds the Tarosian Royal Magic Academy, after this only supervising it since the kingdom politics require too much time.

Therefore starts a rough program of student recruiting.

Death of Darius

At 1231AC Darius passes away from natural causes, the next ruler is his older son Taros II, named after the Taros.
